AIDS Memorial Quilt Display - Opening Reception
Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:30 pm
Circle Care Center
618 West Avenue
Norwalk, CT 06850
In recognition of Worlds AIDS Day 2019, Circle Care Center will be hosting a section of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in partnership with the Names Project Foundation.
The AIDS Memorial Quilt was created in 1987 as a memorial to those who have died of AIDS and as a way of helping others to understand the impact of the disease. The quilt is made up of 3’ x 6’ panels, each commemorating the life of someone who has died of AIDS. Today there are more than 48,000 individuals represented via memorial panels that make up the entirety of the AIDS Memorial Quilt.
The Quilt is displayed in 12’ x 12’ sections and Circle Care Center will be hosting one of these sections here at our facility from Tuesday, December 3rd through Friday, December 20th. The public will be welcomed to come and visit the memorial during regular business hours from 12/4 – 12/20.
All are invited to join for an Opening Reception on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:30 pm. We hope many of you can join us at that event and help to spread the word to your family and friends who might be interested in attending. Please RSVP using this link
